Description

Kentucky’s public school students learn cursive handwriting in elementary school. In this Cursive PD course, educators will learn about the history of cursive handwriting, the research on its academic benefits, and best practices for teaching it. This course features an interview with Iris Hatfield of Louisville, Kentucky, who developed the simplified New American Cursive script that is being used across the country. At the end of the course, learners earn a Certificate of Completion for one hour of PD and EILA credit.
