Description

Over the 2016/17 school year, the Kentucky Department of Education worked with a group of Washington County teachers in multiple grade levels on improving their formative assessment practices in science. This professional learning opportunity was funded by a grant from the Council of Chief State School Officers.

Using the observation and reflection tool Formative Assessment Rubrics, Reflection and Observation Protocol (FARROP), teachers focused on their understanding of the components of the FARROP tool on their practice in classroom-embedded instruction.

At the end of the course, learners earn a Certificate of Completion for eight hours of PD and EILA credit.
